A Cache Run with MuddyBottoms

Well it is Saturday March 6, 2010, and I haven’t posted in a while so here is what has happened a couple days ago. Well I meet Muddy Bottoms at the chili and bonfire meet and greet and we hit it off we started talking and having a good time. Well we planned on going fishing on the Wednesday after the bonfire. Well we ended up going and doing a cache run on Monday March 1st we meet half way between his house and mine (honestly I think he drove further than I did). We ended up parking at Cabelas and being the outdoorsy kind of people we are we just had to go in. we looked around and our internal GPS systems locked us in on the GPS kiosk located in the store. We had to look at the new fangled toys that neither one of us could afford (at this time). After sitting there fondling the GPS’s we decided to go and start our cache run. We loaded in about 23 caches the night before and we were ready to grab them all. Only problem was neither one of us were really into doing really hard ones so we decided to do some nice park and grabs and a couple little hike ones, nothing too exhausting. After all is said and done we managed to grab 11 and had 1 DNF. There was no real excitement or surprises on any of the caches except for one where Muddy Bottoms almost wiped out into a creek due to someone dumping old filing cabinets and a table. The table was covered by a thin layer of snow and Muddy Bottoms stepped right on it and it was really slick almost down and into the creek. I think the best thing about this cache run is a new friendship that was built between two cachers and all the laughs we had between us. Again thanks MB for the laughs and the great time. Here are some pictures I took when we where at a cache I think it is called Mill Dam. Very cool little area and interesting site.
