I know I keep saying it but I am going to keep trying to
keep my blog updated. So since the last post we were nearing 700. Well we have
met that goal and surpassed it. We are now on our way of hitting 1300. Some of
the things we have done recently is we went to Illinois to do a power trail
called Randall Romp which consisted of 168 caches. We got together with some friends and rented a
van and made the trip down there. We accomplished our goal of 168 all in one
day. I do have to say it sure was a long day we left Milwaukee at 9:30 am and
got to Illinois around 11:30 am. We
started caching and finished the route by 9:30 pm. So it was a long day but
lots of fun and memories. We attempted
to do another road trip to Illinois for a numbers run but we only ended up with
68 caches as there were too many caches archived and the distance between the
caches was more like miles instead of .10 tenth of a mile like the map made it
look like. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Just recently I was asked by the land manager for Pike Lake
state Park to put out a couple caches for some special needs kids along the Ice
Age Trail. So I asked my friend Jack Whickey and Nancy Jo to join me in the fun
as I hike down the trail. We ended up putting 6 caches in an approximately 2
mike hike. We also put 2 caches out on a ¼ mile trail that surrounds a bog and
has some boardwalks. I heard from the land manager that the kids had a blast finding
the containers and the prizes. He said he joined one group as they went out to
find some of the caches and he said the kids faces lite up when the found them
and got all excited when they found them. The teacher and parents all commented
on the caches saying they were really nicely done and very well thought out.
The teacher even called me and asked if I can help him mark out some coordinates
for him at the high school so he can put some out there for them to find during
the school year. I am excited to be a part of it. Now if I can only find a job
where I do this year round and full time I would love it.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And more recently I went to a geo event at Hoyt Park hosted
by fitbobcat aka John. For a young man he did a great job. The event was a
donuts and coffee in Hoyt Park. And it turned out to be a really nice day for
the event. He had lots of donuts, coffee and OJ. He even had gift bags for
people to take along with door prizes. I even won one LOL I won a book “the
complete idiots guide to geocaching” so now I will know everything and no more
DNF’s LOL. I heard he got all of the prizes and other stuff donated to him by
calling and emailing business for donations he did a very good job on it nice
gift bags and prizes. Pictures of the event to come soon LOL.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
On another note I got a new GPS’r. I got a new Garmin Oregon
550T. Meg got my new old Garmin Oregon 450T. And we both love them. I would
highly recommend everyone getting one LOL. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
For now that is all I will get back to recording my thoughts
and stuff on a more regular basis, thanks for reading this if anyone does LOL.<o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">So to give everyone an update, we have been out caching and
doing other things.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Since the last post
we have increased our numbers and we are currently nearing 700.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We also attended the West Bend Ca$h Bash
where we hung out with a bunch of friends and family.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The biggest thing is I have been out caching
with a bunch of friends lately. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The
friend I have been caching with the most is Scribble Scribe (Scott) we meet
awhile back and we have hit it off and have become great friends and good
caching partners.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We feed off each other
and have the same sense of humor.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>So
that makes caching a blast.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Scott and I started a group on Facebook called Wild Bunch
Geocachers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It is basically a bunch of geocachers that
like to go out caching. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We post stories,
ask questions, and set up adventures.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The
past couple months we have been setting up meeting times on Saturdays and we
meet up and go caching.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">The past couple months when Meg has a craft fair Scott and I
go out and go caching while she is selling her cards and stuff.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>About a month ago we meet up with wickey7
(Jack) at a park in Brookfield, we started out at Wirth Park and cached that
park out then we went to Fox Brook park and cached that one out also. It was a
blast to get out and clean out those parks. They have been on my to do list for
a long time.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Most recently we went out yesterday and did a bunch of caches
out at Lapham Peak State Park.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Scott
picked me up in Brookfield and we drove to the park together. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We met Jack at the parking lot of the tower
and got all ready to go out and grab caches.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>The first one was an earth cache at the top of the tower.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I will have to email the cache owner and see
if I can claim this as a find as my fear of heights got the better of me and I
was unable to make it to the top.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>One of
these days I will make it there. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>When Scott
and Jack were at the top Scott got a phone call from Beezers958 (Brian) letting
us know he was in the parking lot.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We
met up with him and started to head out down the IAT (Ice Age Trail) with 2
hyper geo pups in tow. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I had such a
blast with everyone we ended up walking about 5-6 miles and doing 11 caches
total, 7 traditional, 2 puzzle and 2 earth caches. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Scott had to get me back to the craft fair so after
all that hiking we didn’t get a chance to clear out the park.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Jack stayed back and cleared out the park
lucky bastard LOL. I know I had a blast and will have to get out with the guys
again and get back out there and clear it out.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Well that’s it for now will start to post more I swear I will
do that LOL. Sorry no pictures I forgot my camera but I will start to bring it I
swear. Well happy caching and see everyone on the trails.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Well it was Saturday January 23rd, it is a little cold out but we are ready for<img alt="Remove Formatting from selection" border="0" class="gl_clean" height="47" src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" width="1" /> it. There was a pancake breakfast in the morning and a pizza greet at 12:00. We got to the pancake breakfast around 8:30 ish and we came in and say a lot of geocachers there. It was exciting to see all the people there. We had some of the pancake breakfast then headed over to the geocachers meet and greet. We saw AuntieNae who was running the presentation to the new geocachers and to people just getting into it. I have been to one of her presentations before and it was awesome very insightful, if you have never been to one look for it and go it is very good. We were waiting for No hands GPS he was supposed to meet me and give me some stickers for my GPS holder he made. But alas he didn’t show up. We ended up heading out to go do the new series that was just published earlier that morning along the Glacier Drumlin Trail. There were 23 new caches set out for everyone. So off we went I thought we were going to be one of the few people to get an early start on these, boy was I wrong LOL. When we got there we noticed there was a bunch of cars on the side of the road already. So we jumped out and loaded up the back pack and headed out.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div>
<br />
<div>
We found the first one pretty easily due to all the foot prints in the snow. But the second one turned out to be a little bit harder. From what I heard on the trail a lot of people couldn’t find it. We just happened to find it because I ran into this on an earlier cache in which I couldn’t find and a friend Wywrdsn came with me one time and helped me out. SPOILER ALEART</div>
<br />

<br />
<div>
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div>
</div>
<br />
<div>
We ended up doing 10 of the 23 we walked about 1.5 miles one way so we ended up turning around and headed back to the truck. One reason is because we wanted to try and find these without all the easiness of following the previous tracks. So we will be coming back I think next weekend to find the rest in which it will put us 2 away from 100 WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!! But good thing we headed back because halfway back I started to get shaky from not drinking enough water and my wife started to developed a migraine so we got to the truck and we went to the pizza place to meet up with Wywrdsn (which my wife has never meet) but we ended up staying for about 5 mins before the migraine started to hit really hard. We ended up not seeing Wywrdsn so we left later that night I signed on to face book and saw a message from Wywrdsn asking why we weren’t there ended up we were sitting on the opposite wall from them with a divider in between us. We hope you enjoyed this article still learning on what to write and I hope you like the pictures. Please let me know what you think and let me know of things you would like to see or make this blog better.</div>

I have not done too much caching, but I have done a couple. My wife AKA Scrappy she makes card and stuff. She had a craft fair in Menominee Falls at the high school so I planned on doing some caching while she was there. Well first I have to say I just started a new job at Wisconsin’s largest beer distributers. Funny thing is I don’t drink. But I work in the warehouse picking cases of beer. I work from 2:30 p.m. until lord knows when. So I have basically have become a vampire up all night with little sleep. Now back to our story well the craft fair was on Sunday and Saturday I did the worst thing I could have done I took a nap. So here I was sitting there at 4:30 in the morning and wide awake. We had to be at the craft fair early to set up and get everything ready. So here I was totally exhausted and sleepy as all get up. So after I helped set everything up I went out caching. Oh by the way I got a new GPS for my birthday I got a Garmin Oregon 450T. So far I love it and I love being completely paperless. we used to have a palm pilot for paperless caching but for some reason we always left the palm in the truck. so we were truly paperless when we got to the GZ we had no hints or anything to help us if we were having trouble. But again back to the story so my wife was all set up so I headed out and the day started out awesome I was finding every cache I went for so far I was at about 7 caches when all of a sudden. BAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! no sleep hit me like a ton of bricks. Some of the caches the last person to look for it they couldn’t find it. So I was feeling good but when the lake of sleep hit me the next cache was a DNF then the next one then the next one so after about 4 DNF’s in a row. So I decided to call it quits. So I went back to the craft fair and the Packer game was on so I grabbed a chair and checked my eyelids for pin holes. All in all it was a great day. But I will post more again soon and keep you updated on what’s going on in Scrappy Scouts caching adventures.</p> Scrappy Scouthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06754574946854971554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-76894437646849046222011-10-15T23:00:00.000-07:002011-10-15T23:00:47.060-07:00It Really Has been a Long Time<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

Well it really has been a long time. But we have been out
caching since the last time I have posted something. Last time we were at about
330 caches and now we are up to 423 caches now. But a lot has changed since my
last post. I have a new job working for a beer distributer her in Wisconsin. I have also given
birth to a full grown person. I started a diet on January 7th of
this year and since then I have lost a total of 130 lbs. so I basically have
given birth to a full grown person. (Lol I think that is funny).</div>

Back to the geo caching Meg and I have been caching in a
couple areas one of the most recent places was High cliff State Park. We didn’t get many caches
but we did do our first letter box cache. So that is cool. We have never done
one before and this one was the first the caches is GC1Qvy6 Art See Park See
Giuseppe. Very nicely done and we had a blast doing it. We did 7 caches and
found 5 we had 2 DNF’s which bummed us a little but we had a really nice day at
the park. Since I lost the weight I have been trying to do different things and
since I am VERY scarred of heights I had to try and climb to the top of the
tower there. I made it to the second platform when some kids about 6 or 8 came
running up the stairs and the tower started to shake so that was it for me I
had to do the walk of shame and climb back down. I got a nice picture of
Scrappy while on the platform. Other than that it was an uneventful trip. </div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
Just recently we went up to the Lefeber Boy Scout Camp in
Crandon Wisconsin.
We could only spend a weekend up there but if was a very good weekend. First we
went up there on Friday stopped at the camp and unloaded all our stuff lucky
for the fish it was windy or we would have been out there fishing. Not really
because we had to meet up with some good friends who live in Mountain. Lucky
people they are really living the Sweetlife
there house is located in a wonderful area and is so pretty. Wish we could live
there and everything. Oh by the way there geo caching name is Sweetlife. Ok so back onto the trip we went out for
a nice dinner and sat there and talked and got to know each other better. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The next morning we got up to go out for breakfast and grab
a few caches in the area since the last time we where here the cache population
has grown and so have we. Last time we were here we would have spent most of
the day sleeping and being lazy this year we had a packed weekend we didn’t nap
at all we kept moving and doing something. But we went out for breakfast and a
new cache popped up by our friends Sweetlife
and it was only 4 miles to the location so we said hell on breakfast lets grab
it how many times you get an FTF in the Northwood’s of Wisconsin. As we pull up there is
construction they are building a new cell tower or something it was kind of
neat to see it so we pulled back the barricades and parked and went in for the
grab. We made the find and low and behold blank log so we signed it and left
the area. This was on GC35E23 Sugar Bush Fire Tower. So pretty I can’t stop
saying that. Pictures to follow soon have to get them off Scrappy's camera lol.
We then went to breakfast and it was oh so yummy. Wish we could find a place
like this in Milwaukee.
But we went out and cached the rest of the morning and found 12 caches.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Sunday was filled with fishing. As the weather was still a
bit windy and warm it was 75 or 80 all weekend very unusual for Wisconsin this time of
year normal highs are 50 to 60 degrees. So the fish were not biting that much
even the pan fish were not hungry and those little piranhas usually eat all the
time. But we relaxed and had a wonderful day together as we tried to fish we
saw an eagle and heard lots of birds. Oh and there were 2 loons on the lake (and
I don’t mean Scrappy and I lol). That night before the packer game we ran into
Laona for some soda to watch the game. We used the Nuvi which we call Bobert to
get us there and since we were up in the great Northwood’s all the roads were
fire roads. So we get to the gas station and we got our soda and headed back. And
on our way back we turn a corner and this big black bear is running into the
woods. This is the first black bear Scrappy has seen up here. So she got to see
her first wild black bear here.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
So Monday comes along and of course the lake looks like a
sheet of glass and everything is still and quite all you hear are the loons
singing on the lake. As we head out to go fishing we are looking at the shore
lines and there were 3 deer a doe and 2 yearlings drinking in the lake. Everything
was so pretty and relaxing. So we are fishing and then we come around a corner
Scrappy see something with a white butt and tail go flying into the woods. And a
short time later I hear this grunt and snort and a weird yell. I think it was
an elk because I don’t think a deer makes that kind of sound. But after awhile
we had to start packing up to head home. Sad time for us, because we both
wanted to stay there forever live in the cabin on that lake and we would be
living the Sweetlife lol. But we loaded
up the truck and started our drive, we had one cache we had to get that our
other friends put out before we left we left at 11:30 A.M... But as we were
driving we noticed that just off the road there were a couple caches so of
course we parked the truck on a hunters trail and started off to go grab them. As
we marked the truck I noticed we forgot the camera and no blaze orange so no
pictures, sad but maybe next time. As we walked down the trail the original
cache kept getting further and further away and a different was closer so we
basically kept walking we finally hit the trail we decide due to time we go 2
caches down one way the 2 caches back the other way out of the 4 we got 3 not
bad there are a total of 35 caches on this particular trail. We then get back
to the truck and notice the time it was 12:30 we walked for a whole hour and didn’t
notice. So now we get back to driving home and we kept looking and sure enough
a cache is close lets grab it. We didn’t get really started on our way home
until 2:30 when we both said that’s it turn off all GPS’S and lets get headed
home. </div>

First off I am still looking for a good job which is kind of bumming me out. I do have a part time job working for goodwill industries but it is part time and I need full time. But I have other news too. We finally hit 300 caches so that exciting. The other big news is I started a diet plan (just in case people didn’t know I am over weight). We started the diet on January 7th this was the first day of it. It is called HMR and you basically drink at least 3 shakes a day and have at least 2 of there meals but more is better. And so far since I started I have lost 81 lbs on it. It feels so awesome to have a bunch of energy to do things and not be so lazy. I am hoping to buy a bike sometime soon and go biking to get even more exercise in. so I will keep everyone updated on what’s happening. Well this is a short post for now will add more later.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br /></p><p class="MsoNormal">Scout</p>Scrappy Scouthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06754574946854971554noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-72596270197252552502010-12-03T08:30:00.000-08:002010-12-03T08:30:38.671-08:00This WAS the Plan..<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:PunctuationKerning/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> <w:DontGrowAutofit/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState="false" LatentStyleCount="156"> </w:LatentStyles> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 10]> <style>

<div class="MsoNormal">Well this was the plan. My wife does a lot of scrapbook type stuff cards, gift boxes, ETC. Well when she has a craft fair I am usually the muscle for her and her sister. I load up my truck and then drop everything off for them and then they set up the way the want and I take boxes back to the truck and then leave and do something else. Well this weekend she has a craft fair in Mukwonago and the plan was that I go help them unload and then I was going to go caching while the craft fair is going on. There is not enough room for me to sit there all day. My brother in law was going to be there so I thought I could take him out caching and see if he likes it. He has been out once before with me but it was a real simple one and he did not know what to look for or what to do. He was nervous about sticking his hand into the bushes and moving stuff around (I kind of was laughing at him about that). Well I though this would be a good time. Then life hit me I have got this awful sinus cold that is kicking my but and then to top it off we are supposed to get anywhere from 3-8inches of snow. Don’t get me wrong I love caching in the snow but when I am this sick I don’t want to do a dang thing. So now I have to come up with a plan so I can do something with him that we both like and something that won’t get me sicker. So that WAS the plan what to do now? Well wish me luck.</div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-77646966328583346012010-11-25T07:15:00.000-08:002010-11-25T07:15:13.712-08:00It has been a long time.Well it has been a long time since I posted something. So in short life has been rough for us I got laid off again. And I am looking for a new job that is year round and full time. We have gotten out to do some caching we got our first FTF it was amazing to unroll the log book and see a completely empty log sheet. We did go to the west bend cache and bash earlier in the year but it was waaaay to hot to cache so we just hung out and meet up with friends and made new ones. Other than that we have not been doing much due to funds and stuff. But we are keeping our heads up and we keep on trying. I will post some pictures of stuff that I have taken recently. I do plan to go out fishing with my brother in law this weekend I will let you know how that turns out. It is supposed to be a high of a whole whooping 37 degrees out ya for me lol. I will keep people updated I plan on doing some caching next week in between job searching. I will let you know what happens. Until then Happy turkey day to all and see you on the trails. <br />

I have been real busy from work to life I don’t have much time for anything. Some things that I have done are I attended an event in West Bend called the West Bend Cache and bash, where you have a chance to win money. I didn’t but there is a chance for you to win some. I also held my first ever Geo 101 class at the Ottawa Lake State park. We had a total of 64 people in attendance and we are making plans for next year. I will do more posting this week as I go from 5 days a week to 4 days. This and that I will be on more looking for a new job as I am getting laid off again soon so I have to find something. Well will post more soon later this week but for now keep on caching.<br />

WeekendWell all I have to say is this weekend was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! First off Saturday, Meg and I had to go shopping for some supplies and groceries. We had to go to a Wally-Mart and a store named Sherpers. Sherpers is a store that has military clothes and other items from Boy Scout uniforms to Military gas masks, lots of outdoor items, camping items, etc. We wanted to go there because they have really good prices on hiking boots plus I saw a nice back pack for geocaching there. So we figured why not cache our way to Wally-Mart and then cache to Sherpers. We grabbed the GPSr’s and headed out the door. We had a list of 10 that we wanted to do. One was a puzzle cache that Meg figured out so we wanted to hit that one. We found 8 of our 10 and we were happy with that result. When we got home I logged all the caches and our 2 DNF’s, happy to have found the 8. Meg was happy with the new to us GPSr that we got. She was using a Lowrance I Finder h2oc, but for some reason it stopped working, we would have satellite bars but it just refused to lock on to them so I called their support desk and the guy stated that I could send it in but for 20 bucks more I could get a brand new Lowrance Endure. So I talked to my friend NoHandsgps because he told me he had a Garmin 60c he was thinking of getting rid of so we grabbed that for a really nice price. Meg now has a really good GPSr and is ready to go. She was able to use it like a pro; it was almost like they were built for each other. She loves it and wants to go caching as much as possible. Thanks to Nohands for the deal.<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: red;">Update:</span></strong> the 2 caches we couldn’t find were muggled. We found this out after we logged them. The cache owners e-mailed us and said they did check and yes they were missing so we should watch the listing for when it is back up we can go out to grab them again.<br />
<br />
Now it is Sunday and we have to go to Meg’s mom’s house to do some stuff up there. We decided to grab some caches on our way home. Saturday night I sat on the computer and looked at caches and found 21 and 1 puzzle cache that sounded like fun. I was thinking that if we find 15 out of the 21 then it would be a good day. Much to my surprise we found all 22 including the puzzle. Funny thing is Meg and I do finders tree, bush, pole or whatever is there, basically if one of us sees it we walk away and call out finder (fill in the blank). We then let the other keep looking until he or she finds it or gets frustrated and says ok hints then it becomes hot cold game until we both find it. The funny thing is whether it is Meg or I who find it, we get all excited and run away like little kids and call it out. What muggles must have thought of us seeing that going on lol. So we were happy and tired from doing 22 caches and had only one casualty. The casualty was our new to us palm pilot which we use for paperless caching. We don’t know exactly how or when but some time Meg put it into her coat pocket and then tied her coat around her waist. So some time from when she did that and hopping over logs and walking she bumped it just right because when we got to the car to log the caches we found into the palm, the screen was broken. That was about 7 caches in so we spent the rest of the day going blind no hints logs or anything. So, I made another phone call to another friend who I knew was getting rid of their palm and we grabbed that for a really good deal but that is another story.<br />
<br />
Now it is Monday and I get a phone call from the Milwaukee County Parks guy telling me that our first cache is ok and gave us a permit and we are ready to go. We made up the cache page and went out to place the cache. At about 11:50 Monday night it got published. The GC number is GC28B1Y, this is our very first cache so we hope it goes good and people like it. Our stats have greatly improved and we are getting in a lot of exercise, according to our pedometer we walked 5 miles on Sunday. Meg is happy with her GPSr and I am happy to have a new palm pilot and we are EXCITED about our first cache getting published. Well, we will keep you updated on how the first cache does. Next weekend is the WGA campout, we are unable to attend but will be stopping down on Saturday for a bonfire and Sunday for the annual pancake breakfast. Happy trails, hope to see you out and about some time.<br />

It was an event for the Boy Scouts of America. The event had a lot to offer the scouts, everything from rock climbing and reading and cooking to Geo Caching. The WGA was asked to have a booth set up to show the scouts about Geo Caching and promote the new Geo Caching merit badge that is coming out or has come out. WCTC allowed 11 new permanent Geo Caches to be placed on their property. These were placed by members of the WGA and were published the night before the event took place. We also had 6 temporary caches placed for the scouts to locate during the event using loaner GPS’ that were available. The WGA was well represented during the day, we had a nice booth showing off a lot of different caches and styles and information to hand out to the kids and parents that stopped by.<br />
<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a lot of people, about 20 or so kids and families showed up and went out and looked for the temporaries. I think might have been because the kids could climb a rock wall or go shoot hoops with the Bucks or some of the other booths out there. So the day was filled with a lot of talking about our favorite caches and stories of geo crashing (You know falling down while out hunting a cache), along with new tools and tricks while out in the field. Sometime during the day NoHandsGPS and I were able to get out and we grabbed the 11 permanent caches. If you don’t know about NoHandsGPS he has a really neat device for holding your GPSr while out on long hikes. Check out his site http://www.treeghost.com/Home.html I know, a shameless plug but I use it and I am a big guy and it helps when you are in the field doing a lot of walking and like to have your hands free for things like your hiking stick or anything else. It may look uncomfortable but it is very comfortable. <br />
<br />
Ok, back to the show here are a few pictures I took, we even had the famous Milwaukee Brewers racing sausages there and they tried to locate a cache but there buns got in the way lol!<br />

<br />
Well it was a fun event, I got to meet a lot of really nice people and old friends and had a very fun time. That is it for now so happy caching and don’t forget you are never lost there’s just too much tree cover.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-24546838211417289972010-04-27T13:49:00.001-07:002010-04-27T13:49:48.529-07:00Our Try at an FTFToday I was sitting in front of the computer looking for a job when an e-mail popped up. A new published cache only 3.56 miles form the house. It was GC277JJ8 PAC Pack 68 Geocache. So I decided to load it into my GPSr and into my Garmin Nuvi and head out the door to go get it. This would be our very first FTF (First to Find). So I called my wife and told her about it and that I am going to go grab it. She tells me to drive quickly and hurry up so we can have a FTF on our list of things that we have done in geocaching. So I drove as quickly and as safely as I could and I noticed where it was and that it was going to be a tough FTF because it was near a lot of businesses and near a major road that people like to take lunches at. I called my wife and told her what I was thinking and she said to have faith and just keep driving. So I did just that and as I got closer I was getting excited because there weren’t many cars in the parking lot. I pulled into a parking spot and as I grabbed my GPSr I noticed a man coming out of the woods in a dress shirt and pants and smiling. I got out of the truck and he walked up to me and I said you got it didn’t you he laughed and than he introduced himself to me and I did the same and he said good luck. I now knew I wasn’t going to be FTF but I went quickly into the woods thinking there might be another cacher from the 4 cars in the parking lot. I followed the arrow and I found it and opened it up see the other guys name, I signed mine right after his only 2 minutes after him. After everything is said and done we have a 2nd to find - not too bad.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-20895137388325677282010-04-26T09:47:00.000-07:002010-04-27T12:57:50.949-07:00Sunday Cache Run.Well this weekend the wife and I decided to go caching while we drove to my sister-in-laws house. It was raining and a little cold here in Wisconsin yes I said cold. We originally decided to do 3 on the way there and then do 3 on the way back. But my wife rememberd how addicting this hobby is. After we found the first 3 she saw we were close to another one so she said lets go for it and then after we found that one she said oh!!! there is another one like 0.15 away let’s go get it. So our little cache run of 3 turned out to be a run of 5. We decided to try one more and that one turned out to be a DNF. It was a very difficult one in a very muggle rich environment. <br />

<br />
One of the first ones we did was my wife’s first WSQ and we found a head stone form the early 1820’s of a baby that didn’t make it. The head stone was very neat to look at and interesting to read because it was all in German. Another one we did had my wife stumped for a bit, it was a guard rail cache. She was right by it for some time and after awhile I just happened to notice there was an extra bolt in the rail that seemed out of place compared to the rest of them. So I unscrewed the bolt and in the one end there was a bison tube magnetically stuck to the bolt on the inside. I thought that was a very clever hide. <br />
<br />
But all in all we had a good day in the rain and snow and made 5 finds and only one DNF but we have ideas where that one might be. Well keep in touch and let me know if there are any questions or comments you would like to leave for me. Also don’t forget to answer the poll question and see where you fall in with others that read my blog.<br />
<br />
Oh and I would also like to thank Wywrdsn for coming over on Saturday and showing me some tricks on Gsak and Gc.com.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-44092745368258255282010-04-18T19:07:00.000-07:002010-04-18T19:07:18.674-07:00Outstanding Anniversary Gift!!!!!Well as many of you know I am happily married to a wonderful lady. As of April 12 of this year we have been married a total of 13 years (how does she put up with me for that long). Well usually we get a bunch of phone calls and gifts. Well this year everyone has been busy with the new baby and stuff. And with me not having a job we really didn’t have much money to get each other stuff so to us it was a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY kiss, kiss, hug, hug in the morning and Meg goes to work and I get on the computer looking for work. So we didn’t think much of the day we are happy to married this long and many more to come but to us it was another day. Well to our surprise we didn’t get a single phone call card or anything. We shrugged our shoulders and when Meg got home I had the grill going and brats and beans for dinner.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
On Tuesday of this week I picked up my mother in law from the airport and took her to my sister in laws house we had dinner and then everyone was like. AAAAAAAAAHHHHH we are so sorry for missing your anniversary. We were like no worries we understand. Well my brother in law is out of town and I have been helping my sis in law with stuff along with my wife. So today I was asked if I could grill some brats and stuff and we can have dinner over there. So the wife went over there earlier in the day and I came over around like 3:30 ish to start the grill. When the food was done I came in and sat at the table and my wife was given a new pair of shoes that she wanted. (Those exercise shoes that are curved) I was surprised to hear they cost like 90 bucks I think they are called shapers or something. Then my mother in law turned to me and handed me a box and after I opened it I found a brand new Garmin Nuvi 205w inside. I was like AWESOME. I used to use my hand held Garmin 60cs and use that to follow directions and stuff. All I have to say is it is hard to see the screen and street names. So I have a new toy that I have to figure out and play with. If anyone has any tips or tricks or something I should know please let me know. So for now I have to go and play with my new toy. Happy caching.<br />

Scrappy’s sister had a baby girl about 6 moths ago and she goes to day care during the week. Well even though she is as cutie as a button. We are noticing that she is a breeding ground for germs of all kinds. It feels like every time we go over there to watch her or go play with her one of us get sick then it is quickly followed but the other one getting sick just as fast. Don’t get me wrong we love our little niece but WOW does she carry some powerful stuff, but it is worth it to watch her and play with her. Sorry for the little distraction now back to the show.<br />

Well we are getting over colds and we were looking forward to attending this event. So we got up early still feeling the cold a little. We loaded up the truck we volunteered to bring a grill so everyone could cook there lunch on it. We got there around 8:30 ish and there were people already there and ready to go. Once we unloaded the truck of the grill and we got our State park sticker. There was a wagon train of geocachers coming in. after a nice breakfast of sweet treats and coffee. We were grouped up with other cachers and assigned an area either a trail or beach or some other area. We got paired up with kmhikers, stillooking4it, and 2 members of Team S.A.D. we were assigned the trail that goes around an old quarry and is now a pond/lake. <br />

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">So after we got our assignments we got all set up with garbage bags gloves and our GPS’r and anything else you wanted to carry. Me being the old Boy Scout I had a back pack fully loaded for bear. Extra garbage bags, extra gloves, first aid, tools (multi tool) and a bunch of other extra stuff. So after we loaded up and I snuck in a couple of quick pictures we were off. It was a blast to talk and listen to the others of geo adventures and there stats and just getting to know them. We came to find out this event was kmhikers 1000th find so a big congratulations goes out to them. One of theses days we will get there. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8JBs692_ED1JMmysau6CLfjh1tUHe_HCBhM7P9ICAPVPKVpr_j1FhyZofj-ghd59gMygadtGcUtANNCZvpUs3EHkIicLYQsleH_pmnqoHDxsWSJlXBJGzEffV2XKMez1WNyPqPkmxhP_n/s1600/2010+CITO+Harrington+Beach+State+Park+4-17+051.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8JBs692_ED1JMmysau6CLfjh1tUHe_HCBhM7P9ICAPVPKVpr_j1FhyZofj-ghd59gMygadtGcUtANNCZvpUs3EHkIicLYQsleH_pmnqoHDxsWSJlXBJGzEffV2XKMez1WNyPqPkmxhP_n/s200/2010+CITO+Harrington+Beach+State+Park+4-17+051.jpg" width="200" wt="true" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">There were 3 geocaches located around this pond/lake. After walking and around and picking up mostly cigarette butts (glad we quit smoking a long time ago). We hit the 3 caches and talked and walked for a better part of the morning. Time seemed to fly when you are with a wonderful group of people. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

So in total we had a great day. After this we went back to the staging area had lunch and talked to everyone and listened to more stories of geo adventures. We received our very first path tag. We have never received a path tag before so this was very cool for us. (Thanks again kmhiker). After lunch we cleaned up the building and said our goodbyes and we all headed our separate ways. Sorry, for not posting in a while. Been kind of down in the dumps lately. I have been looking for a job still and up to a couple days ago things were not looking too good on that a part. Then I got a call from a friend who owns a body shop and they are buying a tow truck and are looking for someone to operate it. In which I have 5 years of experience doing that type of work. I also got a call from the Department of Natural Resources about a job this summer. So I am looking forward to see which job come though first. So my spirits have been a little higher. Than the wife got sick literally this Friday she started not to feel good and then WHAMMMM I got it now. We think it comes from her boss, her sister, and our little niece that is sick also. I think all three of them were in a conspiracy to get us sick and I was just starting to feel better form my last cold. So anyone reading this blog please keep me in there prayers that some sort of job comes along soon. <br />
<br />
I know it is a little late but please look at my poll question and let me know what you think. It has been a hot topic on the WGA forums. My belief is that it is up to the cacher and how they want to play the game. I know that people put a lot of time and effort into puzzle caches. I personally am just not into them I have tried to figure some out but I just can’t. I have like 2 or 3 puzzle caches on my list but I was out with fellow cachers and they were looking for them and me just so happened to be there and found the cache at GZ. I must also say this was at the beginning of my cache career. Now I think I would find them and then go home and try to figure out how to get the coordinates then take credit for the find. If I was unable to figure out the cords I would e-mail the cache owner and ask them if they could lend me help in figuring it out or if they are ok with me claiming a find even though I haven’t figured it out yet. I don’t want to start anything I just want to hear your opinion. So no hateful comments just let me know what you think.<br />
<br />
Final thing is with it being spring around the country I am starting something here in Wisconsin in which I can not take credit for but I think it is a good idea. I found this on another blog it is <a href="http://headhardhat-geocache.blogspot.com/">Head Hard Hats Blog</a>. So basically I went to my local Walgreens and asked the photo department if they have any 35 mm film canisters they want to get rid of and they handed me a bag full. I then came home and loaded them up with old plastic bags from the grocery store and then I capped them. Now here is my dilemma. The purpose of them is I drop them into a cache and then a fellow cacher picks it up and CITO’S using the fermentation plastic bag while they walk back to there car. Then when they get home they put a plastic bag in the canister and they drop it off at another cache for some other lucky cacher to pick it up and do the same thing. And pretty soon we can have them all over and lots of people can be CITO at a bunch of caches. What I need is a sticker with CITO on it and a way to explain what the next cacher is supposed to do with the canister. Just so they don’t take it and throw away the bag and then use the canister for a cache. Which I guess wouldn’t be too bad but it defeats the purpose of what I am trying to do. Any help or suggestions would be great. Well thanks for reading this long rambling and keep on caching. And as always let me know what you think of my blog and what you would like to see in future blog posts.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-57492180031910994272010-03-06T16:41:00.000-08:002010-03-06T16:41:31.752-08:00Fishing Adventure With Muddy BottomsWell here is a blog about our little adventure ice fishing. I fish all the time in the spring, summer, and fall. I have never ice fished in all my years (never really had anyone to go with). Well at the Chili bonfire meet and greet. Muddy Bottoms invited me to come up to his house in Ripon and go ice fishing with him. The original plan was to go out on a lake that he has a ice shake that he uses but it was already taken off the ice and put away. So we ended up going to a pond close to his house where he saw guys the day before running to flags and pulling fish up. So that’s where we were going. I didn’t care I go by the saying a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day of work. :) So I got directions since my GPS wont work if I have my iPod fm transmitter in (I think the signals get messed up or something). I woke up the next morning at around 3:45 ish so I can take a shower and get everything loaded eat breakfast and start my drive. According to map quest it was going to take me 1hr and 40 mins to make it there. I have learned from all my years of using that system the timing they post are usually not correct. I made it there in about 1 hr and 25 mins. (I was doing the speed limit). When I got there MB already had 3 tip ups in the water and had already caught 2 fish he said one was a nice one nothing to big and the other was a small snake one about 12 inches long. So after we sat and walked the ice and talked and he instructed me on what to do when a flag goes up we started up the auger and drilled my 3 holes. In the state of Wisconsin for every fisherman you are allowed 3 lines max. So we followed the rules (don’t want to break those rules very expensive and sometimes you can’t get a license for 3 years). So we got my 3 tip loaded and in the water. MB said just wait 10 mins and we will have a flag and sure enough in about 10 mins later 2 flags went up 1 was gone and the other one I didn’t pull the line right. No worry we had all day. After fishing from 6:30 to about 9:00 we noticed the bait was gone we used up the last of what MB had so we had to make a bait run so we decided after a flag went up and bait was gone we pulled the line and let it sit once we got 3 of them up MB ran to the bait store and we reloaded the 3 lines and dropped them in. things slowed down for a little bit around lunch time MB busted out the Coleman stove and made some venison steaks all I have to say is YYYUUUUMMMMMYYYYY!!!!! Those things were awesome. After lunch we kept having flags go here and there and we were running to get them. We didn’t catch anything really huge but for me it was the experience and the company. It was getting late so we decided to start pulling everything up. MB went to one tip up and I went to another and when I grabbed it I couldn’t pull the line it was frozen in the ice. So I used the bottom of the tip up to break up the ice a little. I then started to pull the line I don’t know if it was me pulling or if it was there and it couldn’t set the flag, but there was a fish on the other end of this line. So I yelled to MB and he came over and it turned out to be one of the bigger fish of the day. We did start to laugh at that one. After we got everything loaded up I noticed my face was little sore. I didn’t think anything about it we said our good bye’s and we both headed home. By time I got home my face was rockin it hurt like heck and my lips were hurting really bad. Then my wife came home and man did I get it all I could say was yes I forgot to put suntan lotion on but hey it was worth it :). Well sorry for the rambling but here are a few pics of the trip<br />

Well I meet Muddy Bottoms at the chili and bonfire meet and greet and we hit it off we started talking and having a good time. Well we planned on going fishing on the Wednesday after the bonfire. Well we ended up going and doing a cache run on Monday March 1st we meet half way between his house and mine (honestly I think he drove further than I did). We ended up parking at Cabelas and being the outdoorsy kind of people we are we just had to go in. we looked around and our internal GPS systems locked us in on the GPS kiosk located in the store. We had to look at the new fangled toys that neither one of us could afford (at this time). After sitting there fondling the GPS’s we decided to go and start our cache run. We loaded in about 23 caches the night before and we were ready to grab them all. Only problem was neither one of us were really into doing really hard ones so we decided to do some nice park and grabs and a couple little hike ones, nothing too exhausting. After all is said and done we managed to grab 11 and had 1 DNF. There was no real excitement or surprises on any of the caches except for one where Muddy Bottoms almost wiped out into a creek due to someone dumping old filing cabinets and a table. The table was covered by a thin layer of snow and Muddy Bottoms stepped right on it and it was really slick almost down and into the creek. I think the best thing about this cache run is a new friendship that was built between two cachers and all the laughs we had between us. Again thanks MB for the laughs and the great time. Here are some pictures I took when we where at a cache I think it is called Mill Dam. Very cool little area and interesting site.<br />

I wanted to make it be our 100th cache/event/find that we have done. As you can see from earlier posts we were 4 short. I still wanted to make the bonfire the 100th so I had to go out and find 3 more caches before the event. I was talking to my friend Kevin aka NoHands GPS about it and he said lets go out today and grab 3 relatively easy caches to get you to 99. So off we went, he gave me some caches I loaded them up last night and was ready. I got up this morning and picked him up and with in no time we had all 3 of them, took us about 35 mins with walking in the snow and all. It was relatively uneventful but we are at 99 and this weekend will be our 100th it was a long time coming. With all the gps problems and other things I am glad to make it this far and I hope to have another 100 soon. I will post about our milestone cache after this Saturday bonfire.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2172847779159746940.post-77457464787258762592010-02-06T12:50:00.000-08:002010-02-06T12:50:36.473-08:00We almost made it to 100Well we almost made it to 100. We had it all planned out we were going to finish the States run on the Glacial Drumlin Trail then hit a couple more to make it to 100. Fist problem that we got into was where to park the truck. The road I thought I could park at there was no parking allowed. So we went and parked at the next road crossing and found out the first cache was 0.7 miles away. And that was the closest cache from where we stopped at from the Waukesha Janboree. As we hiked we thought we will do every other cache that way we have something to do on our way back to the truck a trick we learned from our friends Wywrdsn. That way when you walk back you have something to do and not just walk back. <br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Well we found the first one it was really fun and interesting. This one happened to be at the spot where rail road company had a set of tracks that curved. And from the years of 1955 to 1984 there were 8 severe derailments that occurred and there was twisted metal still there. We couldn’t see it due to the snow cover. We will have to come back to this one is the spring. We then started our trek along the trail. There was a lot of ice on the trail and we found our selves sliding every once in a while thank goodness we brought our trekking poles with us. </div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />

</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">After we made it to the end we started our way back and that’s when it hit us WOW. My body is starting to hurt. Not just a little a lot. We figured it out we hiked approximately 2.5 miles, which meant approximately 2.5 miles back. At this point I noticed my sock on my left foot must have slid while we were walking and now I have a little bit of sock bunched up by my toes. And my little toe and the next one were starting to hurt really bad and I mean really bad. I though my hiking boots were broken in but I guess not (they are now after this little adventure), I tried to fix it but I think it was too late. My legs were hurting something fierce we figured out we were walking about a 2.5 miles per hour average. We had to hike back, pain or no pain we had to get to the truck. So we started our way back grabbing the caches we skipped on our way here. There was a couple that we thought were going to be DNF’s but with a little bit harder searching we found them all. We got back to the truck and man it was rough getting into the truck. But we were happy we hiked 5 miles and found 14 caches. It was a good day we are 4 short of 100, we will most likly get it there next weekend (I think). Here are a few pictures of some caches and of us caching.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGNuj7Pn5Hnwg97EV2hwoLScBnIxgmbQKr5VBBRBF1AN_YdmJZBEbQUpQx6EIMFo6rTgRBkRdnr4fhiKazsk1NLP6RgIEFFko0UEkafDYGJPUsmB-C9Ivvh7x-e3Rco-vf8YefyuE0NydT/s1600-h/PictureGeo+Caching+2-5-2010+011.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGNuj7Pn5Hnwg97EV2hwoLScBnIxgmbQKr5VBBRBF1AN_YdmJZBEbQUpQx6EIMFo6rTgRBkRdnr4fhiKazsk1NLP6RgIEFFko0UEkafDYGJPUsmB-C9Ivvh7x-e3Rco-vf8YefyuE0NydT/s200/PictureGeo+Caching+2-5-2010+011.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Ground Zero</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

We are planning on going caching tomorrow (Friday 2-5-2010). Scrappy is off of work and we decided to go out caching during the day. I made sure both GPS units are loaded and everything is set to go. I also loaded up the palm pilot and made sure everything is set with that. I forgot to take the new palm pilot with us last time we went out (my mistake). We have the palm so we can go paperless but it only works if you bring it with you. So we have both GPS units loaded, palm loaded, and the location of our first cache. Back pack is loaded and ready; I cleaned it out and organized it. The cold weather bag (hats, gloves, sweat pants, and sweat shirts) is ready. So what is next I don’t know??<br />
<br />
<br />
A little background about Scrappy Scout, we started caching around 2006, but we have had our problems that have kept us from caching. Between work and life in general we couldn’t get out as much as we wanted too. Then when we started back up again the GPS wouldn’t work. I don’t know what happened to it, but for some reason it would not lock onto a satellite. I could be sitting in a field with a clear view of the sky no clouds to be seen and it would search and search forever. There were a couple of times where I was able to lock on with no problems so I would try and go out then. I would hit a couple caches here and there then lose satellite service again and the day was over. After talking to people at the WGA (Wisconsin Geocaching Association) I found out that Garmin has a great service program so I called them and they tried a couple things and still it would not work so I sent it in. About 2 weeks later I got a new one in the mail. I put new batteries in it and within about 5 mins full lock and it has been working great ever since. During this time we bought a used Lowrance I-finder H2Oc which also works really well. So we now have 3 units total we have a Garmin 60cs, a Lowrance I-finder H2Oc, and Garmin E-Trex legend. So we are loaded and ready to go.<br />
<br />
Our number is currently at 82 but we are planning on hitting the first milestone of 100 tomorrow (Friday 2-5-2010). Wish us luck it has been a long time coming. We have been looking forward to hitting that mark for a long time. I will make sure I take a lot of pictures to post.<br />

So we jumped out and loaded up the back pack and headed out.<br /><br /><br />We found the first one pretty easily due to all the foot prints in the snow. But the second one turned out to be a little bit harder. From what I heard on the trail a lot of people couldn’t find it. We just happened to find it because I ran into this on an earlier cache in which I couldn’t find and a friend Wywrdsn came with me one time and helped me out. SPOILER ALEART<br /><div><div><div><div><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJiB1DLOZ1eCkRIkZla-e7BT53WlQ25cK35Dml4g3L9dAovEwn5VTEzY9K_ZT4LfkRBt-yqX3yajnQ1CZvLs2Y7CoNnJy2qkUmCDczk7xBZmfSHjk3kuxiU1DQdfzwFoB5idLUz2TptLeD/s1600-h/Waukesha+Janboree+Geocaching+1-23-2010+003.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432364781025021314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJiB1DLOZ1eCkRIkZla-e7BT53WlQ25cK35Dml4g3L9dAovEwn5VTEzY9K_ZT4LfkRBt-yqX3yajnQ1CZvLs2Y7CoNnJy2qkUmCDczk7xBZmfSHjk3kuxiU1DQdfzwFoB5idLUz2TptLeD/s200/Waukesha+Janboree+Geocaching+1-23-2010+003.jpg" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPkE3qQ2LohQIaDt_lRr7hoTozCF39wCnnEgklikln4QqpMEmsT80c0WZ8R5wXBXe3ihLN8uKr1KorpivGE5y_GgSJRnMZ3FxOaXhCTE3SYBLr863e04SgsmZptFXJajJ13fjiS281bbwT/s1600-h/Waukesha+Janboree+Geocaching+1-23-2010+002.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 200px; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5432365036827528626" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPkE3qQ2LohQIaDt_lRr7hoTozCF39wCnnEgklikln4QqpMEmsT80c0WZ8R5wXBXe3ihLN8uKr1KorpivGE5y_GgSJRnMZ3FxOaXhCTE3SYBLr863e04SgsmZptFXJajJ13fjiS281bbwT/s200/Waukesha+Janboree+Geocaching+1-23-2010+002.jpg" /></a><br />What you see. / What you are looking for :)<br /></div><div>We ended up doing 10 of the 23 we walked about 1.5 miles one way so we ended up turning around and headed back to the truck.
